Indian Glass

Indian glass beads are produced in India and often come coated in a fine powder. This powder is called 'bead release', and is used to stop the molten glass from sticking to the metal mandrel when the beads are being made. It is easy to remove - simply wash your Indian glass beads in warm water, and then dry on a tea-towel.
